Now that I’ve tackled the smelly boy bathroom and got things in order, it’s time to keep it that way! I try to avoid air fresheners (smells bother me and my youngest) and burning candles with little ones around is out of the question. After checking off those choices, I knew what I had to do.
I turned to Essential Oils.
I have been pushing it off and pushing it off. Maybe it’s because I keep seeing the sales pitches in my Facebook feed and it turned me off. Maybe I didn’t think they would work. Either way, I really tried to avoid them!
Until I had to get my bathroom smelling decent.
A few years ago, I came across a product called Poo-Pourri. At first, I thought it was funny. But after thinking about it, it’s genius! I bought a bottle and kept in my bag for when traveling.
Instead of buying more, I decided to make my own. One look at Pinterest and I found that it was simply a mixture of 3 essential oils: Bergamot, Grapefruit, and Lemongrass.
Make Your Own No-Poo Toilet Spray
All you need is a 4 oz dark spray bottle and the following essential oils:
Place 40 drops of each essential oil into your spray bottle. Top the rest off with water.
When you are ready to use it, make sure you shake the bottle well. The key to using the No Poo Toilet Spray is to spray the toilet before you use the restroom to eliminate any odors!
Once you make a bottle, it will last you a while. You may even want to make a few bottles to keep in every bathroom and an extra to keep in your bag when you travel. It really comes in handy when you are traveling with friends or co-workers!
