Office Depot Foundation’s National Backpack Program

This is a sponsored post. All opinions are my own.

For the past 13 years,  the Office Depot Foundation has helped over 3 million children with their National Backpack Program. That would fill every National Football League stadium plus half the Major League Baseball stadiums – with kids to spare! That’s a lot of backpacks!

This year, the Foundation will donate 300,000 sackpacks containing essential school supplies to deserving children in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and internationally. These specially designed sackpacks come in 6 different colors with kid-friendly graphics. Each sackpack contains a zippered pouch with a pen, pencil, pencil sharpener, eraser, rulers, and crayons.

To place the sackpacks into children’s hands, the Foundation is hosting 25 Back-to-School Celebrations in cities across the U.S. and in Puerto Rico.  Three of these events – in Los Angeles, Fort Lauderdale and New York – will feature appearances by award-winning actor, comedian and host of “America’s Got Talent” Nick Cannon.

I was lucky to receive some sackpacks myself. I can’t wait to fill them up and drop them off out our local Food Pantry to be handed out to children in our neighborhood so that they are ready for Back to School!
