It’s that Time Again…

Holiday card time!

Every year, I procrastinate when it comes to ordering our Holiday cards. I normally order them sometime in mid-December and I’m lucky if people receive them before Christmas day. The main reason for the delay? Getting a decent picture of the kids…together. You’d think being a professional photographer I could do this, but all those tips and tricks I do with other people’s children, clearly do not work on my own.

Last year, I didn’t even try to get one of them together. But this year, this year was going to be different. Iwas going to get one of them together.

I had a session at a local arboretum and I asked forced the hubster and the boys to come along with me. The arboretum is such a beautiful location with fun things for the kids to look at and do, I knew it would help in getting them to cooperate.

And cooperate they did!

This picture? It’s the very first one I took.

Mission accomplished.

Of course, I didn’t stop there. I got a bunch of nice photographs that will serve as Christmas present for our families.

As soon as I realized we had gotten the photo, I hopped online to order our Christmas Cards. I will not be sending out my cards on December 20th this year!

This year, I headed on over to Paper Culture. With hundreds of customizable designs to choose from, Paper Culture has set out to deliver bold modern design through eco-friendly products. There were a lot to choose from! I couldn’t make up my mind and enlisted a few people in helping me decide. Ultimately, we chose this one!

I am so impatient while waiting for things in the mail. But I didn’t have to wait too long for our Christmas cards! Paper Culture’s turn around time was surprisingly quick. When I opened my package, I was blown away. Their packaging? The best!

When I opened up my little box, I was greeted by a Thank You note thanking me for choosing them and also for making a difference with my purchase. With every Paper Culture order, a tree will be planted as a part of a global reforestation program and offsetting any carbon footprint resulting from my purchase. Such a sweet touch!

And the cards? I love them! I can not wait to mail them out.
