Ready for Spring with Sally Hansen #IHeartMyNailArt

Part of my Mom Style 2.0 has been trying to stay polished. Literally. I don’t know what it is about having clean and freshly painted nails that make you feel put together. I was so excited when I was asked to create a fun Spring color block look with Sally Hansen nail polish.

Before I headed to Walgreens.com to do a little shopping {you can view more of my shopping trip in my Google+ story}, I hit Pinterest for a little inspiration. I finally narrowed it down to these two looks. The color really stood out and I am a sucker for glitter!

When I had my colors picked out, I headed over to Walgreens.com to order my new nail polish. Sally Hansen Extreme and Salon Effects are on sale for 2 for $5 with 1,000 Balance Reward points now through April 27, 2013. This is a great sale to stock up on nail polish so I made sure to take advantage of it.

I filled my cart with some fun spring colors!

Now when it comes to painting my own nails, I have to admit I am not the best. But, I have found that having everything set out and ready {and having the tops screwed off} will help eliminate some smudging. I am notorious for getting to the last nail and smudging one! I always have an orange stick to help remove stray nail polish on my cuticles. Cleaning it up as it happens helps make a clean line!

setup

Now that I had my little manicure station set up, I was ready to go! I combined Sally Hansen Crush and Hot Magenta {with a hint of sparkle, Strobe Light} for my Spring color block nail art!

They are a little fun but nothing over the top! Just enough.
