Refresh My Nest for Spring

We have been having some major spring-like weather this week. Think flip-flops and capris…in March! Along with the spring weather, I have been doing some spring cleaning. Since we recently bought a new couch, I figured I needed some new accents for the living room! We not only changed the couch but repainted the walls so our old stuff didn’t quite match.

I headed out to my favorite home store, Home Goods, to look for the perfect accents! Of course, I got distracted by other stuff but I did walk away with just the right throw pillows and new table runner.

I also dug around and looked for some things I already had that I could reuse in another room. I found of ton of stuff just sitting in my closet: two faux plants, a little bird, my easter egg tree and bunny, a pretty vase I have never used, and a lantern.

I also purchased some fresh flowers to place around. I love how fresh flowers can perk up any room.

After I got everything situated, I knew there was something missing. Spring time brings fresh scents and I knew I needed something to freshen up the room. I headed to ShopRite and picked up a Renuzit Fresh Accents Air Freshener. I had two options: After Rain and Raspberry. {You can view more of my shop on Google+}.

The air fresheners have a convenient scratch and sniff sticker on them so you can make an easy decision. After I smelled the Raspberry, I knew I had a winner.

Not only is my living room all ready for Spring, it smells delicious!

Sometimes I hold back on putting out nice vases and flowers and things for fear of the kids. I’m impressed.
