Santa Baby
We took the kids to see Santa over the weekend. I was expecting the worse with E. When he sees Santa from a distance, he gets excited and wants to see him. But the closer we get to him, the more afraid he becomes. We knew Benny would be a piece of cake.
As we waited in the long line, we talked about what E was going to ask Santa for and practiced his song for his Holiday show {Ruduloph the Red Nosed Reindeer}. By the time we reached the front of the line, the “elf” needed to change the paper in the machine and we had to wait. And wait. And wait.
Just as we had E all psyched to sit on Santa’s lap. Seeing the impatient faces, Santa got up from his chair and brought the toy book over to the kids. He told them to show him what they wanted. E couldn’t find his beloved Bat Cave so we explained to Santa what it was. Santa put his hand on E’s shoulder and said “Not a problem, Ethan. I can make you one of those!” E may have buried his head in daddy’s shoulder but I saw the wide open eyes and grin on his face.
Finally, it was our turn. E insisted we all sit on Santa’s lap. We don’t get many family pictures of us all {or ones that I like!}. But this one is a keeper.
Love this photo of you all! We just visited Santa this morning. I wasn’t sure how B would do, but at least he didn’t cry! C was absolutely beaming with joy seeing and sitting on Santa’s lap.
That is a good shot!
love it! We get our last shot at Santa on Saturday, I’m really hopeful that he will go see Santa if I go with him.
