Who else did some back to school shopping this weekend? For us, it was time to start thinking about school lunches and snacks and stocking up. Naturally, we made our way to Sam’s Club so we could pick up cereal, snacks, juice, and water.
My boys go through a lot of cereal and I am not looking forward to those teen years. If they go through a box in 2-3 days now, what will it be like then? That’s why buying the bulk boxes as Sam’s Club helps me out. We get a little more out of it and I don’t have to buy cereal as often.
We also get to give back to the community. When you buy a specially marked box of Kellogg’s® products at Sam’s Club, you can get two, free full-length Scholastic books. Choose one for yourself, and the second book is automatically donated by Sam’s Club to a pre-selected, local school in need. So how do you redeem your free books and give back?
Buy any one of 13 specially marked Kellogg’s products at Sam’s Club. Look for the pink tops on qualifying products, like this.
When you get home from shopping, go the website to redeem your books! Click on “ENTER CODE NOW”.
Click on “GET STARTED” to redeem without signing into Kellogg’s Family Rewards OR click “LOG IN” to redeem through your Kellogg’s Family Rewards account.
Enter the address where you’d like your book to be mailed along with the 16 digit code.
Look for the 16 digit code on the inside of your box!
On the “Thanks” page, click “redeem page” to go to the book redemption page.
Click on “ORDER NOW” to browse through the selection of over 80 books.
Click on the book you’d like to order and click on “Add to Cart.”
Review your order on the Shopping Cart page. Click on “Continue to checkout”. Check the point deduction authorization statement. Click on “Continue to checkout” again. Review your contact info for accuracy and click on “Place my order.”
You’re done! And now your book will arrive in the mail in no more than 8 weeks! You can redeem up to 30 books through the Kellogg’s Scholastic offer.
When you redeem for your books, you’re actually helping a school in-need in your community because when you redeem, you can keep one for yourself, and one is automatically donated to a school in-need in your community!
I don’t know about you but I plan on donating our book to my son’s teacher. Teachers spend a lot of money on their classroom supplies and libraries out of their own pockets. With dwindling school budgets, there is just not enough for these “extras” anymore. Each year, we donate a few books to the classroom libraries, usually at Book Fair time. This year, we are starting off the school year with a donation!
