We are in the gift giving season! Once May rolls around, there are many occasions that we seem to be running to: birthdays, Mother’s Day, graduations, Father’s Day, end of school celebrations. The list goes on and on. This season can really take it’s toll on the wallet if you don’t plan ahead.
In an effort to be prepared (which is a first for me), I decided to take a simple gift idea and use it for every occasion. A gift card and the new Extra® 35-stick pack may not seem a lot at first. But it’s all about going the extra step with the presentation.
So now that I have this figured out, I am sharing my summer gift trick with you!
Summer Gifts in a Jar
Step One: Gather your supplies. You can use any sized glass jar for these gifts. For mine, I used a wide-mouth glass jar.
Step Two: Start assembling your glass jars with some crinkled paper. This will fill your jar a bit and make it look pretty!
Step Three: Use filler items as a base. For example, for a Father’s Day gift jar, use golf balls and tees on top of the filler paper.
Step Four: Add in the gum! The new Extra® 35-stick pack is more than just a pack of gum! These are convenient to keep and split between work and, for dad, the golf course!
Step Five: Add your gift card and any other personalized items.
Step Six: Top it off with more filler paper! Tie some twine around the jar and your gift is ready to go!
Tip: Don’t have a gift tag? Use stickers!
Place two stickers on top of each other…
.. and then punch a hole on top!
Thread through the twine for a gift tag!
You can use the idea of a gift in a jar all year round! It’s inexpensive and easy to put together.
Don’t forget to pick up the new Extra® 35-stick pack for your Summer Gifts in a Jar! They are easy to find in the checkout line at Walgreens.
Such a cute idea!!! My daughter’s teachers would love a gift like this! I was planning on giving them gift cards, but packaging them like this, with gum, and other treats will make their gifts even more special! #client
