The Best Free Stock Photos

I love to take pictures and, usually, if there is a photo I need for the blog, I can take it myself. But there are times when I just don’t have the time or resources to take what I need. In those cases, I turn to stock photos but I am very particular on the ones I use. I want them to match my style and fit nicely into my blog.

Because of this, I have a handful of sites that I go to when I am in need of the perfect picture. And did I mention all of these sites are free. You are gonna want to book mark them!

The Best Free Stock Photos

Unsplash – The site only features images that carry the CC0 licence, which means that the photographers have waived their rights. So, you can use them the way you see fit. The site is updated every 10 days with 10 photos. Subscribe to the site and the photos will be delivered right into your inbox. Make sure you check out the archive with all past photos.

Death to the Stock Photo – If Unsplash doesn’t have what I need, Death to the Stock Photo is the next place I look. Join their site and receive photos in your inbox every month. All photos are for commercial use, your blog posts, social accounts and mockups.

Little Visuals – Little Visuals is another site similar to Unsplash. Every week, seven photographs are released and they are gorgeous! (no longer updated)

Picjumbo – Picjumbo has an extensive directory of totally free photos for your commercial & personal works. I love that you can do a search to find what you are looking for. Again, high quality photos that go beyond the standard stock photo.

Picography – Another photograph tumblr site with free hi-resolution photos. Use them however you like.

Foodies Feed – If you are looking for food related photographs, you are going to love this site. Download as many pictures as you want. No limitations.

Pixabay – All images and videos on Pixabay are released free of copyrights under Creative Commons CC0. You may download, modify, distribute, and use them royalty-free for anything you like, even in commercial applications. Attribution is not required. 

Free for Commercial Use – FREE stockphotos for your commercial and personal works. Stunning lifestyle imagery for modern creatives.

Jay Mantri – free pics. do anything (CC0). make magic.

Gratisography – Free high-resolution pictures you can use on your personal and commercial projects.

Magdeleine – A free Hi-Resolution photo every day.

SplitShire – Download high quality free stock photos without copyright, do whatever you want. Updates everyday!

SkitterPhoto – All photos on this website are completely free to use for any purpose. When pictures are published on skitterphoto, they are released into the public domain using creative commons CC0.

Life of Pix –  Free High-Resolution photos, no copyrights restrictions. Images for personal commercial use. New photographs added weekly. 

Stokpic – Free Stock Photos For Commercial Use

Pexels – The best free stock photos in one place. 

Fancy Crave – Free high resolution photos from professional photographers. Two new images every day!

Kaboom Pics – Great place to get breathtaking Free Pictures for business or personal projects.

Negative Space – Free stock photos added every week. All photos are released under CCO, no copyright restrictions apply. 

Stock Snap – Hundreds of high resolution images added weekly. All photos are free from copyright restrictions. No attribution required.

Cupcake – All photos are licensed under the Creative Commons license CC0, which means that you are free to use the images without any costs. You can copy, modify, distribute and perform the work, even for commercial purposes, all without asking for permission.

Barn Images – Here, you will find only quality photography that’s fresh, with nothing that duplicates the stock photography you’ll generally find elsewhere.

Travel Coffee Book – Sharing beautiful travel moments. All photos are listed under cc0. That means you can do whatever you want with them.
