The holiday season is full of traditions, both old and new. It’s one of the things that I look forward to the most. All of the traditions that have been in my family for years and the ones that we have recently started with our own kids.

I think my family’s number one tradition would be cookie day. At Thanksgiving dinner, we come together and pick a Saturday that everyone is free and pick our cookie date. Everyone is involved. We come together at my parent’s house to roll, decorate, and eat our cookies.

The recipe for Italian Anise Cookies has been handed down in my family for generations and everyone looks forward to taste testing throughout the day.

My little family has their own Christmas traditions such as drinking hot chocolate on Christmas morning while we open our presents. My husband actually started this before we had children our First Christmas we were married. The kids are old enough now to know we don’t start opening the presents until everyone has their hot chocolate!

But our favorite? Well, that would be the Elf on the Shelf. I know there are two camps when it comes to the Elf but it’s something that the whole family enjoys! I love seeing the kids’ faces each morning as the go to look for their Elf. They are so excited, it’s contagious. It’s a great way to experience Christmas magic all throughout the season.

Like I said, the holidays are full of traditions for everyone! For a lot of people, Hickory Farms is one of those traditions! I asked my readers to share their Hickory Farm Holiday memories with me. I loved hearing each and every one!
