Time Saving Gmail Hacks: Undo Sent Messages
We’ve all been there before. We rushed through an email, didn’t reread, hit send, and realized that there was something missing or a huge mistake. Or maybe you wrote a heated email that you had second thoughts about sending after you hit the send button.
Well, there’s a way to unsend those emails through your GMail account.
Time Saving Gmail Hacks: Undo Sent Messages
This is not a hard lab to set up in your GMail account.
Click the gear in the top right of your account. Select Settings and then click on the Labs tab.
Find the “Undo Send” lab and select the Enable radio button. Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.
Next, you want to set up the amount of time you have to undo sending a message. The default time is 10 seconds to click before the Undo button disappears, but you can adjust setting. Again click the gear icon , and find the “Undo Send” section in the General tab of your Settings.
So how does to work? After you send an email through GMail, you will notice a yellow notification bar at the top of your screen.
Just click Undo to retrieve the email message.
