Being an #Unstoppable Mom…Even When I Don’t Wanna
We’ve all been there. We get hit with whatever nasty bug or virus that is going around. And all you want to do is lay in bed and pretend you are dying and have someone take care of you.
And as you have your head in the toilet for the hundredth time, you hear it.
Mommy, my belly hurts. I think I’m gonna….
And you do what any other mother would do. You stop puking and get your head out of the toilet so your kid can puke his guts out.
That’s exactly what I had to do last week. My son and I were both hit with the stomach bug that’s going around school (I’m pretty sure the little one gave it to us). We were both down for the count with a stomach ache that felt like our stomachs were actually trying to leave our bodies.
Even though I was in so much pain and just wanted to die, I had to pull it together for my six year old. Who was feeling the same exact way.
Being a mom might not have come with a handbook, but you quickly learn the rules.
But would we have it any other way? Seeing my kids sick or in pain brings out the momma bear in me. I will stop at nothing to make them all better!
Even if that means I have to put my own well being on hold.
Don’t worry, I did take care of myself last week and I am happy to report it was only a 24 hour thing!
The makers of Children’s MOTRIN® know that Moms know what’s up! They are asking Moms to post their tips and tricks to the MOTRIN® Facebook page to support their Unstoppable Moms Program.

Totally agree. I wish we got sick days though 😉
Sausage sandwiches are our quick go-to meal in the morning!
I think sick days are one of the things I miss the most.
Cereal, toast, and frozen homemade pancakes are our go-to for busy mornings.
