When it comes to any holiday, quick and easy treats are my go-to. Who has time for anything fancy? Believe me, I wish I did sometimes. But I don’t. Besides, the kids aren’t impressed with fancy cakes or desserts. They want their favorites, like chocolate chip cookies.

That’s why I love making cookie bars. It takes their love of chocolate chip cookies and transforms them into something different. You can use this cookie bar for any occasion! Just swap out the Valentine’s Day M&Ms for any kind of chocolate candies. Or skip them, and just add more chocolate chips (peanut butter chips!).

Cookies bars start with your basic chocolate chip cookie recipe so don’t let the fact that they are bars deter you from making them!

I dare you to not eat that bowl of delicious cookie dough! And, if you do, I won’t tell anyone. I promise!

Once you have your dough ready to go, transfer into your foil lined 9×13 pan. Don’t forget to spray the foil with cookie spray! It will really help you get those bars out of the pan and into your hands.

Tips for making Valentine’s Day Cookie Bars:
