My husband and I have been kicking around the idea lately to ditch our landline phone. We barely use it and it would save us some money every month. The problem? We talk about it and then I never get around to do anything about it.
I was recently asked to check out the new VTech Connect to Cell System. It couldn’t have come at a better time!
About the VTech Connect to Cell
The VTech Connect to Cell enhances the cellphone experience in your home! They are a great option for those without a landline or those looking to get rid of theirs. The two available models connect with up to two cellphones and store up to 200 cellphone directory entries, so mobile calls are accessible from the comfort of a cordless handset.
You can add up to five handsets on both models, effectively ending the mad dash to find the cellphone {seriously, I can never find a phone!}. An added benefit for those consumers who like a central home answering machine for landline calls, the DS6521-2 adds a digital answering system with up to 14 minutes of recording time.
Features:
1. Make and Receive Landline and Cellular Calls: Connect to BLUETOOTH® wireless technology-enabled cellular phones to make and receive cellular calls with the ease and comfort of a home phone system. Avoid the mad dash to catch a cellular call before it goes to voicemail.
2. Eliminate Cell Phone Dead Spots at Home: Just place the base unit where cellular reception is best. Then enjoy the freedom to make and receive cell calls using your cordless handsets anywhere in your home.
3. Download and Store Your Cell Phone Directory: Store 200 directories from up to two different cell phones; no need to input names and numbers into your phone.
We’ve been trying out the VTech Connect to Cell for a few weeks now and it’s definitely been the push I needed to cancel that landline!
What a pretty cool concept! We just got a landline back when we switched cable providers! This would have been awesome to try.
Interesting. I am forwarding this to the husband. THanks for sharing.
What a great idea!
It sounds great. And yes, I have that trouble too – I can never find the cell phone. Mainly because the children enjoy stealing them and hiding in the couch cushions…
Sounds like a great option. We ditched our landline about a year ago and started using our cell phones only. So far it has worked out great.
