Wake Up, Mommy!

AGAIN, the kiddo has his wake up time completely wrong. I have no idea why he is getting up at 2 am. Maybe we need to adjust what time he goes to bed, I don’t know. Although, I have to say, last night (um..this morning) wasn’t as bad as Monday.

The hubster went in to try and get E to go back to sleep. But he wasn’t having any of that. Then, he decided to bring him into bed with us. Well, of course, you know what that means. PLAYTIME! E loves to stand up and jump while holding on to our headboard. He’s fascinated it by it. We have the NORESUND (which apparently they don’t make anymore) from Ikea. He loves to trace the swirls and try to take the knobs off the posts (don’t worry, they don’t come off).

But I digress. Hubster tells him it’s not playtime and that we need to lay down. E fakes us out and lays down. But then starts to play peek-a-boo. It’s a good thing this kid is so darn cute! Finally, we get him to relax and we all fall asleep.

I got another wake up call at 5:30 am (although I didn’t know that at that the time). E decided it was time for me to get up and was smacking my face while laughing. Not only was he smacking me (in a playful way), but he was nudging me as if he was saying “Wake up, Mommy!”. I finally opened my eyes and saw his big cheeseball smile. What a great thing to wake up to…until I rolled over and saw the time.

Pass the caffeine iv, please!
