Where to Stay in Hershey

Growing up, we would visit Hersheypark at least once a summer. Since we lived only an hour and half away, it was a day trip so we never stayed over. In fact, I never actually stayed overnight in Hershey until 2014! I know.

But now I know better and I am planning some more weekend trips to Hershey. And the hardest decision? Where to stay! If you are a Hershey newbie like myself, you probably didn’t know that there are three places you can stay when planning your trip to Hershey: Hershey Lodge, Hersheypark Camping Resort, and The Hotel Hershey.

When I visited Hershey a few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to visit all three locations!

Where to Stay in Hershey

Hershey Lodge: My first overnight stay in Hershey in 2014 was at the Hershey Lodge. And since then, there has been a lot of changes! The Hershey Lodge is perfect for families looking for a weekend getaway.

Offering 665 guest rooms and 100,000 square feet of function space, Hershey Lodge provides convenience and comfort for families and guests of all ages. The Hershey Lodge always has something going on! For the holidays, you can have breakfast with Santa or spend the day at the Waterworks.

The Waterworks sold it for me. I knew as soon as I saw it the kids would love it! An exclusive and complimentary amenity for our overnight guests! Enjoy 30,000 square feet of splashing good times featuring Twizzlers Twists water slides and Reese’s Water Walk! Plus, enjoy fun interactive water features including our zero entry pool, sand castle spray zone, lighthouse tipping bucket, basketball hoops, and more!

Hersheypark Camping Resort: Let’s get this right out of the way. I am not a fan of camping. The idea of sleeping on the ground with only a tent separating me from nature is a nightmare. But, if you still want to have a camping experience, the Hersheypark Camping Resort is perfect for you!

From campfires to coasters, the camping resort combines the fun of camping with the convenience and benefits of staying at an Official Resort of Hersheypark. Bring your tent or RV, or rent a cabin, and enjoy the year-round natural beauty of Hershey The Sweetest Place On Earth! Yup, a cabin! Sign me up!

The Hotel Hershey: You can’t not walk into The Hotel Hershey and feel glamorous. While you can bring the kids, The Hotel Hershey is perfect for a couples getaway weekend or a girls’ weekend.

The Hotel Hershey is one of the finest Historic Hotels of America. Known for its refined elegance, signature service, and abundant amenities, The Hotel Hershey is a one-of-a-kind destination. The Hotel Hershey is situated high atop the town of Hershey and has 276 guest rooms, including 48 cottages, as well as 25,000 square feet of meeting and function space. The 1930’s hotel is a recipient of both the Forbes Four-Star Award and the AAA Four-Diamond Award.

And we can’t talk about The Hotel Hershey without talking about the spa! Indulge in total luxury at The Spa At The Hotel Hershey, which is affectionately known as The Chocolate Spa. Chocolate inspires their innovative treatments like the Whipped Cocoa Bath, Chocolate Bean Polish, and the Cocoa Facial Experience.
