Wish List Wednesday

wishlist wednesday

I have seen this meme floating around the blogosphere for a while and I figured, “Why not?” Let’s add another weekly meme to the list.

This week my wishlist is all baby/toddler related! Here are some of the things that I want (read: NEED) for E!

1. A new toy box – Currently all of his toys are residing in various baskets around the living room. Needless to say, he goes from basket to basket dumping everything on the ground. No matter how many times I clean it up, he is right behind me dumping the basket again. If I had this big toy box, everything could be thrown in one place, making clean up time a lot easier. Also, it would free up a lot of space too! And did I mention, it matches our living room perfectly!

2. A new diaper bag – I have gone through about 3 different bags. And I have hated them all equally. They just aren’t functional. I love, love, LOVE my friend Jenni’s bag, a Bumble Bags. I want this!! Christmas maybe?

I tell him that if he doesn’t want to wear a diaper, he needs to go on the potty. Don’t you love how I’m trying to reason with a 14 month old. But seriously, I might go get one this weekend. What could it hurt? I don’t expect him to be fully trained yet, but I think might just start the process. He’s really into the bathroom right now. I might as well take advantage of it.

4. Toddler bed – The plan has always been that we would not have 2 kids in our current house. However, at this point, I don’t think that moving is in our near future. We aren’t planning on adding another baby any time soon. But I think a baby will come before a big move. So we have been trying to think ahead. E would stay in his current room and the baby would be in the spare bedroom (i.e., disaster zone). E’s crib would go to the new baby along with the changing table. E would get a big boy bed and keep his tall dresser. See I have it all worked out!

5. Stroller – Speaking of another baby, you know how much I love this stroller! I always thought I would want the Sit and Stand when we had another. But thanks to Jenni (again) I have been dreaming about this stroller.

I'm with you about the diaper bags. They certainly look much better than when I had babies, but I've never understood why most of them have to scream with child motifs. It's not the baby who carries it…it's me, for heaven's sake! Give moms a little dignity!

I so agree, when my son was a baby I just couldn't find the right diaper bag. You would think by now someone would have gotten this right.

I also love that stroller, maybe it's the color red or how plush it looks. I don't know, but it's so cool!

I hope all your wishes come true.

Everytime I see that toybox I get so excited since it has my name on it! As for the stroller I love that thing! I wish they had it when we bought ours for the girls. There is no way I can convince Brian to get it now. Sigh….
