Nutter Butter cookies are the base for sweet snowshoes drizzled with chocolate. Use pretzel sticks threaded with mini marshmallows to make accompanying ski poles.
Winter has finally arrived and along with winter comes cold and snow. Lots of it. When the kids have a snow day, I like to find fun and easy activities they can help me with, especially in the kitchen.
We love to create seasonal cookies with our favorite cookies, Nutter Butters. They are the perfect shape to create flip flops, footballs, Easter Chicks, even hearts!
Our latest adventure are these super easy Snowshoe Cookies!
What better way to celebrate a snow day then buy making Snowshoe cookies! And what are snowshoes without ski poles.
I don’t know if the kids will have more fun making them or eating them!
How to Make Snowshoe Cookies
To Make Snowshoe Cookies, you will need:
- 12 Nutter Butter peanut butter sandwich cookies
- chocolate flavored cookie icing
- 12 miniature marshmallows
- 12 pretzel sticks
Place cookies on parchment paper. Drizzle chocolate over the cookies in a crisscross pattern to create snowshoes. Let stand until the chocolate has hardened.
For the ski poles, thread a miniature marshmallow on one end of each pretzel stick.
Serve a set of poles with each pair of snowshoes.
